An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in San Salvador. First ranked San Salvador faced 3rd ranked Metapan. Host San Salvador (12-1) smashed guests from Metapan (8-5) 83-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Metapan. San Salvador forced 26 Metapan turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when San Salvador made 9 blocks. Adriana Rivas (176-1996) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Monica Aristondo (163-1992) who recorded 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Salvador have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-1 record. Metapan at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. San Salvador are looking forward to face L.M.Mons. (#5) in Santa Ana in the next round. Metapan will play against the league's second-placed Salvadorenas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

San Salvador (12-1) have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Capitalinas at the other side still closes the standings with 13 games lost. San Salvador will play against L.M.Mons. (#5) in Santa Ana in the next round. Capitalinas will play at home against Santa Tecla and hope to get finally their first victory.
Bottom-ranked Capitalinas (0-13) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 78-44 loss to second ranked Salvadorenas (11-2) in on Thursday evening. The best for the losing side was Gabriela Funes with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Salvadorenas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-2 record behind leader San Salvador. Loser Capitalinas still closes the standings with 13 games lost.
