Ahuachapan - Metapan 77-105

Metapan outrebounded Ahuachapan 40-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Metapan looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Ahuachapan's players. Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and Guatemalan point guard Lee Vasquez (173) chipped in 24 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Metapan's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American-Laos guard Kadeim Jones (191-1999, college: UWG) responded with 31 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Johnathan Claxton (206, college: Oakland City, agency: Fully Feared Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Five Metapan and four Ahuachapan players scored in double figures.

They outrebounded Brujos 46-32 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when A.Lobos made 7 blocks. American Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) fired a triple-double by scoring 32 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners.
