Puerto Rico - Chile 92-66
Puerto Rico fired past Chile to earn the third position in Group A. Damika Martinez (170-G-92, agency: Macklin & Lovett Associates) stepped up with 22 points to pace the winners. Puerto Rico recorded a 38:33 halftime lead. They unleashed 31 points in the third term to boost the gap at 17-point mark and cruised to the victory. Sandra Garcia (190-C-90, college: Wake Forest) delivered 17 points in the win. Vanessa Leeper (178-SF) responde with 18 points for Chile.

Cuba - Canada 43-92
Canada registered the fourth straight win in Edmonton. The hosts knocked down Cuba to clinch the top position in Group A. Kia Nurse (183-G-96) finished with 14 points for the winners. Canada recorded a 42:19 halftime lead. They controlled the tempo in the second half and cruised to the win. Miranda Ayim (191-F/C-88, college: Pepperdine, agency: FirstPick Basketball Mngm) and Natalie Achonwa (190-F-92, college: Notre Dame, agency: SIG) finished with 12 points each for Canada. Anisleidys Galindo (179-SG-89) responded with 12 points for Cuba.

Group B
Argentina - Brazil 73-69
Argentina held off Brazil to stay undefeated in Edmonton. Debora Gonzalez (170-PG-90, agency: Players Group) and Andrea Boquete Manna (183-F/C-90, agency: Orbisport) scored 12 points each to pace the winners as they claimed the top position in Group B. Argentina got to a strong start to the game. They reeled off to a 38:24 halftime lead. Brazil narrowed the gap at 6-point mark at the final break. They sank 20 points in the fourth period but could not avoid the loss. Melisa Gretter (161-PG-93, agency: Josep and Nicolas) notched 10 points for Argentina. Iziane Castro Marques (182-G/F-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with 25 points for Brazil.

Venezuela - Ecuador 55-48
Venezuela held off Ecuador and claimed the third position in Group B. Ivaney Marquez (177-SF-83, college: Grayson County CC) tossed in 15 points and collected 9 rebounds to pace the effort. Venezuela recorded a 28:21 halftime lead. The teams traded baskets throughout the second half as Venezuela marched to the victory. Cleyder Blanco (188-C-90, college: St.Thomas, FL) netted 12 points and pulled down 8 rebounds for the winners. Anabel Barahona (179-F-90) responded with 14 points for Ecuador.
