Canada extended their perfect march in Edmonton. They fired past Brazil to enter the championship game undefeated. The hosts dominated from start to finish in this one. Canada recorded a 27:22 lead after ten minutes. They boosted the margin at 6-point mark at the interval. Canada sank 25 points in the third term to take a 15-point lead at the final intermission and coasted to the win at the end. Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-F/C-91, college: Simon Fraser, agency: Slan Sports) delivered 18 points, while Miranda Ayim (191-F/C-88, college: Pepperdine, agency: FirstPick Basketball Mngm) posted 11 points for the winners. Argentina - Cuba 79-89 OT
Cuba held off Argentina in overtime to advance into FIBA Americas Championship Final. Clenia Noblet (190-C-87) tallied 29 points and 14 rebounds to lead the winners. Cuba recorded a 45:33 halftime lead. Argentina responded with a strong 27:13 rally in the third term to surge ahead. But Cuba slowed their opponents down in the fourth term and forced overtime. Cuba went on a 16:6 run in the extra period and sealed the victory. Ineidis Casanova (165-PG-88) recorded 17 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds for the winners. Ornella Santana (183-F/C-90) responded with 18 points for Argentina.

Puerto Rico - Venezuela 56-65
Venezuela earned the fifth position in Edmonton. They knocked down Puerto Rico in the final game at the tournament and clinched their Olympic Games Qualifying tournament birth. Daniela Wallen posted 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Cleyder Blanco (188-C-90, college: St.Thomas, FL) added 17 points in the victory. Yashira Delgado (157-G-92, college: Florida St., agency: Mogul Sports Group) and Marie Placido (181-F-87, agency: Gamble Sports Management) responded with 11 points each for Puerto Rico.
