USA registered the third consecutive victory in the championship. They stormed past Venezuela to remain undefeated. Sedona Prince (201-F-00) chipped in 18 points for the winners. USA drained 56 points in the first half to secure a 27-point lead. USA held their opponents to just 24 points in the second half and rallied to the victory. Rhyne Howard (188-G-00) produced 17 points in the win. Daniela Wallen (180-SF-95, college: Okla City) answered with 18 points for Venezuela.
Dominican Republic - Puerto Rico 54-79
Puerto Rico defeated Dominican Republic for the third victory in San Juan. The hosts piled up a 29-12 lead ten minutes into the game. Puerto Rico grabbed a 47-24 halftime advantage. Puerto Rico stayed in charge throughout the second half and marched to the win. Tayra Melendez (183-G-93, college: URI) tossed in 18 points, while Jennifer O'Neill (165-PG-90, college: Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) had 16 points in the victory. Yohanna Morton (172-G-87, college: RMU) replied with 12 points for Dominican Republic.
U.S. Virgin Islands - Brazil 56-77
Brazil rallied past US Virgin Islands to improve at 3-1 record at the tournament. Kamilla Silva (201-C-01) scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to pace the winners. Brazil established a 41-25 halftime lead. They held US Virgin Islands to 31 points in the second half to race to the win. Taina Paixao (175-G-91) and Thayna Silva (180-F-96) netted 10 points each in the victory. Natalie Day (182-G/F-90, college: Portland) answered with 17 points for US Virgin Islands.
Canada - El Salvador 98-41
Canada breezed past El Salvador to gain the third consecutive victory in Group A. Shaina Pellington (173-G-99) tossed in 21 points to lead the winners. Canada dominated from start to finish. They grabbed a 42-12 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the victory. Aislinn Konig (178-G-98, college: NC State, agency: LBM Management) had 14 points in the win. Aida Funes (167-PG-84) produced 14 points for El Salvador.
