Puerto Rico, Canada, USA and Brazil enter semifinal stage in San Juan

Puerto Rico - Colombia 77-69
Puerto Rico overcame Colombia in the quarterfinal battle. Colombia jumped off to a 23-12 lead after the opening quarter. The hosts responded with a 20-7 run in the second term to take a 32-30 halftime lead. Puerto Rico drained 25 points in the third frame to secure a 5-point lead. They protected the lead throughout the fourth period and raced to the win. Jazmon Gwathmey (188-G-93, college: JMU) netted 29 points, while Jennifer O'Neill (165-PG-90, college: Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) added 19 points for Puerto Rico. Narlyn Mosquera (197-C-89) answered with 21 points and 15 rebounds for Colombia.

Canada - Dominican Republic 90-53
Canada raced past Dominican Republic to pave their way into the semifinal stage. Aislinn Konig (178-G-98, college: NC State, agency: LBM Management) produced 23 points to lead the North American side. Canada piled up a 50-35 halftime lead. They held Dominican Republic to just 18 points in the second half and marched to the win. Laeticia Amihere (193-F-01) chipped in 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the winners. Yohanna Morton (172-G-87, college: RMU) responded with 18 points for Dominican Republic.

Brazil - Venezuela 90-59
Brazil drubbed Venezuela in the quarterfinal clash. They led from start to finish. Brazil secured a 49-18 halftime lead. They cruised to the victory in the second half. Thayna Silva (180-F-96) chipped in 15 points, while Tassia Carcavalli (176-PG-92) added 14 points for Brazil. Genesis Rivera (180-G/F-96, college: UMass) notched 15 points for Venezuela.

USA - U.S. Virgin Islands 97-46
USA outgunned US Virgin Islands to ensure the semifinal stage. USA grabbed a 46-25 halftime lead. They followed with a strong 51-21 second half run to ensure a comfortable victory. Nazahrah Hilmon-Baker produced 17 points, while Grace Berger (183-G-99) and Elissa Cunane (196-C-00) added 13 points apiece for the winners. Imani Tate (175-G/F-95, college: Albany) replied with 18 points for US Virgin Islands.
