Brazil - Dominican Republic 80:68

Brazil edged Dominican Republic in the Quarterfinals of the AmeriCup 2022. They posted an 80-68 win on their way to the semis. It was Dominican Republic to set up the tone in the game with a 20-18 rally. Moreover, they won the second period 17-16 to take a 3-point lead at the halftime. Brazil on the other side needed a 21-18 run to tie the game in the third quarter and closed the game with a 25-13 surge in the last stanza.
Cristiano Felicio (206-C-1992, college: Oregon) top-scored for the winners with 16 points and Marcelinho Huertas (191-PG-1983) notched 15. Leonardo Meindl (201-SF-1993) delivered 14, whilst Yago Matheus (175-PG-1999) scored 11. Andres Feliz (188-SG-1997, college: Illinois) and Jeromy Rodriguez (201-F-1996, college: ETSU) ended up with 14 points each in a loss.
