Nicaragua conquered Group B of the AmeriCup FIBA 2025 Qualifiers. They won with a perfect 3-0 record beating Cuba 78:75. Cuba started better and led 3 points at the end of the first quarter. Nicaragua meanwhile replied with a 26-19 rally in the second quarter and won the third quarter 16-15. Cuba tried hard to catch up, but won the last stanza by only 1 point. Jared Ruiz (188-G/F-1992) led the way with 34 points and Francisco Garth (195-G/F-1999) poured in 12. Yoel Cubillas (204-F-1994) replied with 18 points in a loss and Jasiel Rivero (206-PF-1993, agency: Pro Sports) scored 16.
