Mexico needed overtime to beat Dominican Republic 80-73 at the 2025 AmeriCup Qualifiers. Mexico opened the game with a 22-10 run and enjoyed a 15-point halftime advantage. Dominican Republic was too far to give up and tie it all at 66-66 after fourth period. In overtime, Mexico however nailed a 14-7 run to seal the win.
