2025 AmeriCup Qualifiers: Venezuela hold off Argentina

Venezuela earned the second win in 2025 AmeriCup Qualifiers Group A. They topped Argentina at home court to improve at 2-3 record. Yohanner Sifontes (192-G-1995) scored 16 points to lead the winners.
Argentina surged ahead in the second period to eke out a 36-33 halftime lead. But Venezuela held their opponents to just 13 points in the third term to snatch a narrow lead. Venezuela limited Argentina to just 15 points in the fourth quarter and rallied to a key victory at the end. David Cubillan (181-PG-1987, college: Marquette) posted 15 points in the win. Nicolas Brussino (205-SF-1993) answered with 12 points for Argentina.
