Dominican Republic overcame Nicaragua at the 2025 AmeriCup Qualifiers last game. Dominican Republic finished with a 4-2 record, whilst Nicaragua advanced as the home side of the upcoming event.
Dominican Republic took a 29-17 lead at the start and never looked behind after. Nicaragua managed to reply with a final 20-13 rally to reduce the gap to the final result.
Jean Montero (188-G-2003) led the way with 16 points and Joel Soriano (185-C-2000, college: St.John's) poured in 14. Victor Liz (190-SG-1986) and Angel Delgado (210-C-1994, college: Seton Hall) delivered 12 points each in a win. Jared Ruiz (188-SF-1992) answered with 25 points in the losing effort.
