Panama handed Brazil their first loss at the 2025 AmeriCup Qualifiers. Panama posted an 81-74 win and advanced to the AmeriCup 2025 with a 3-3 record. Brazil won Group B with a 5-1 record and will head as one of the favorites to Managua from August 22 to 31.
Iverson Molinar (193-G-1999, college: MSU) stepped up with 25 points and Ernesto Oglivie (203-PF-1989) had 16. Jhivvan Jackson (182-PG-1998, college: UTSA) delivered 15, whilst Akil Mitchell (206-C-1992, college: Virginia) added 11. Nathan Fernandes (206-F/C-2003) replied with 24 points for Brazil.
