AmeriCup 2025: Brazil fire past Dominican Republic to enter semis

Brazil secured the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup semifinal appearance after they handled Dominican Republic in the quarterfinal clash. Georginho de Paula (197-PG-1996) stepped up with 28 points and 7 assists to lead the winners.
Dominican Republic sank 25 points in the first period to gain a 7-point lead. But Brazil unloaded 57 points in the next two quarters to gain a comfortable 75-61 lead heading into the fourth period. Brazil maintained the lead throughout the final term and raced to the win. Yago Dos Santos (175-PG-1999) finished with 25 points for the winners. Andres Feliz (188-PG-1997, college: Illinois) answered with 14 points for Dominican Republic.
