Bahamas - U.S. Virgin Islands 81-105
US Virgin Islands are 2025 Caribbean champions. They beat Bahamas to finish with a perfect record in Guyana. Anisha George (188-C-1998, college: N.Texas) scored 26 points and 21 rebounds to pace the champions. US Virgin Islands recorded a 55-44 halftime lead. They went on a 28-18 rally in the fourth term to ice the victory. Imani Tate (175-G/F-1995, college: Albany) finished with 17 points for US Virgin Islands. Lashann Higgs (175-G-1995, college: Texas) responded with game-high 37 points for Bahamas as they occupied the third position.

Jamaica - Guyana 74-83
Guyana claimed the Silver medals at the Caribbean Championship. They outscored Jamaica to step onto the pedestal. The hosts trailed by a single point at halftime 34-35. But Guyana unloaded 49 points in the second half to race to the win. Joy Adams (180-F-1993, college: Iona) stepped up with 23 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge. Ruth Adams (175-G-1996) finished with 24 points for Guyana. Tiffany Reynolds (175-G-1998, college: Lakehead) answered with 23 points for Jamaica.

Anisha George, 27-year old Virgin Islander power forward picked up the Most Valuable Player at the FIBA Women’s Caribbean Championship. She plays For the Isabela Pollitas In Puerto Rico And graduated from the University of North Texas five years ago. George received multiple other awards, was named the Best Center and was voted to the First Team. She started playing in the Virgin Islander National Team 8 years ago. George conducted her way to the fifth position in averaging a commendable 19 points per game and second in rebounds per game, delivering a over 9 average. Her 26 points against Bahamas were the most she scored at the tournament. Among many awards she was selected to the Latinbasket All-Centrobasket First Team back in 2021. She was also selected to the All-C-USA Second Team back in 2020. George was selected to the Eurobasket All-Romanian League Third Team in 2023.
Valerie Nesbitt, 27-year old guard was voted the Best Guard of FIBA Women’s Caribbean Championship. She plays For the Bahamas National Team And Is the Ole Miss alumna from 2021. Nesbitt was also selected to the First Team. She started playing in the Bahamian National Team 10 years ago. Nesbitt also played for the Under 17 national team back in 2013. Her court vision propelled her to the second spot in points per game an outstanding average of 25. Nesbitt led the FIBA Caribbean Championship in assists per game with over 8. Joy Adams, 32-year old Guyanese forward was selected as the Best Forward at the FIBA Women’s Caribbean Championship. She plays For the Gernika In Spain And Is ex Iona from 2016. Adams was also chosen to the First Team. She averaged almost 17 points per game at the event. Adams led the FIBA Caribbean Championship in rebounds per game with almost 13. She had double-doubles in 4 games during the event. Adams' 23 points against Jamaica were the most she scored at the tournament. Among many awards she won the Mexican LNBPF championship title in 2022. She was selected as the Eurobasket All-Spanish LFB Honorable Mention between 2018 and 2021.
