D-Team is the LPB first champion - Nov 4, 2009 
Led by the super trio made of Enrique Samayoa (193-F-82), Dangelo Vaughn (192-F-80) and Jose Joaquin Ortiz (180-G-78), D-Team defeated 105-99 Lanco Elite Sport in the 5th and decisive game of the LPB Final Series, becoming the first champion in the league history. Another time more, the game was very spectacular and tensed. Elite Sport won the first quarter 25-23, and ended the first half again ahead, 56-54. D-Team played very well the third partial, taking the lead at its end, 77-70 and this changed the course of the game, because the Elite Sport players were unable to come back.

All Star Game Rosters unveiled - Sep 12, 2009
The headquarters of the Liga Profesional de Baloncesto de Guatemala released an official convocation list for the upcoming All Star Game, scheduled for September 15, in Guatemala City. According with the National Flag colors, the two teams will be named Blue Team and White Team, and the rosters will be as follows:

The Blue Selection triumphed over the White Selection, 129-123 on September 15 in Guatemala City, in the first edition of the LPB All Star Game. The game best performers were Oscar Salguero (196-F-87), who led the Blue Team with 27 pts and was named the Game MVP, helped by Enrique Samayoa (193-F-82) with 19 pts. Ricardo Amaya (191-G-84, agency: Tank Sports) and Dangelo Vaughn (192-F-80), who scored 22 and 17 pts, respectively, were the best in the White Team.

As usual in an All Star Game, there were also some individual contests. And the winners were:
Free Throw Contest: Alejandro Carrillo (192-F-88) won over Cesar Catalan (180-G-75)
3 Points Shooting Contest: Walter Morales (185-G-83) won over Pablo Cano (178-G-88)
Slam Dunk Contest: Enrique Samayoa (193-F-82) won over Dangelo Vaughn (192-F-80)
