David Monterroso
Experienced David Monterroso (180-PG-79) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Pampichi and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 40-year old playmaker had a double-double of 33 points and eleven rebounds, while his team beat Coloso (#4, 0-3), Second Stage bottom-ranked team 80-66. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Pampichi maintains the 2nd position in Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this stage. Pampichi will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. Monterroso turned to be Pampichi's top player in his first season with the team. Monterroso has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 17.1ppg) and averages solid 51.5% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old former international swingman Miguel Gonzalez (187-G/F-90) of league's best team ELOHIM. Gonzalez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds. Of course ELOHIM cruised to a 96-87 relatively comfortable win over GMS (1-2). A very good start of the Second Stage for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Gonzalez is a newcomer at ELOHIM and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.7ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 10.8rpg and 4.0apg.
The third best performed player last round was another ELOHIM's star - former international swingman Pablo Gonzalez (194-G/F-89). Gonzalez showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in the last round. He was another key player of ELOHIM, helping his team with a 96-87 win against #3 ranked GMS in a game of the week. ELOHIM started extremely well this Second Stage. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Gonzalez turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Gonzalez has a great season in Guatemala. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 12.7ppg (6th best), rebounds with 10.2rpg (2nd best) and assists with 4.0apg (6th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
