Esquivel's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Center Helmut Esquivel (196-C) had a very impressive game in the last round for Club Force and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed Forza (#5, 6-6) with 18-point margin 80-62. Club Force maintains the 3rd position in Guatemalan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Club Force will need more victories to improve their 7-5 record. In the team's last game Esquivel had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Club Force, through which he has constantly improved. Esquivel has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 16.8ppg), assists (7th best: 2.9apg) and averages solid 2.1bpg and 53.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Walter Gasparico (89) of Forza. He is a in his first (recently joined) season at Forza. In the last game Gasparico recorded impressive 13 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Forza lost that game 62-80 to slightly higher-ranked Club Force (#3, 7-5). This loss caused Forza to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Gasparico is one of the most experienced players at Forza and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Club Force's star - guard Marcelo Arriola (168-PG-98). Arriola scored 20 points. He was another key player of Club Force, helping his team with a 80-62 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Forza (#5, 6-6). Club Force needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Arriola has a great season in Guatemala. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 3.8apg (3rd best).
