Sacatepequez left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Jalapa. It was Jalapa's third loss in a row. Sacatepequez will play against higher ranked Solola (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jalapa will play against the league's leader St. Lucia to get more than just one victory in their record. St. Lucia - Chimaltenango 85-74 The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Chimaltenango (2-1) on the court of leader St. Lucia on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by St. Lucia 85-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chimaltenango. St. Lucia have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-0 record. Chimaltenango at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Baja Veraoaz and Solola. St. Lucia are looking forward to face Jalapa (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Chimaltenango will play against the league's second-placed Baja Veraoaz (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals. |
