Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana round 5 best performance: Miguel Gonzalez (by Hoops Agents)

Former international Swingman Miguel Gonzalez (187-G/F-90) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Halcones, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 39 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Forza (#7, 0-3) with 55-point margin 109-54. Halcones is placed at 2nd position in Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Halcones won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Gonzalez had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Halcones' top player in his first season with the team. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Chur is a newcomer at Halcones, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 38.0ppg (#1). He also registered 6.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Colombian Juan Aragon of Centenarios (#5). Aragon scored 25 points. Despite Aragon's great performance Centenarios lost 68-73 to the league's current leader Amatitlan (#1, 3-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates.The season just started for Aragon as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
