Liga Metropolitana Round 15: Amatitlan lose to Forza in the game between Top 4 teams

The game between Top Four teams took place in . Third ranked host Forza (9-5) smashed 4th placed Amatitlan (6-7) 92-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Amatitlan. Forza dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Amatitlan's 34. They outrebounded Amatitlan 61-32 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for center Helmut Esquivel (196-2000) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 9 rebounds. Juan Aguilar05 (-2005) helped adding 13 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Segio Samayoa with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Forza maintains third place with 9-5 record having just four point less than leader Halcones. Amatitlan at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Villa Nueva Jrs.
Liga Metropolitan top team - Halcones (13-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat eighth ranked Monjitas BTC (1-11) 132-114. It was a quality performance for Hector Chur (-1999) who led the winners and scored 75 points (!!!). Juan Rosales accounted for 35 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Enzo Castro came up with 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists for Monjitas BTC in the defeat. Undefeated Halcones have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Monjitas BTC lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost.

In the last two games of round 15 Circulo lost to Villa Nueva Jrs on the opponent's court 58-63. Villa Nueva managed to outperform Coeindeguasa in a home game 63-54.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists by Yordic Velazquez of Coeindeguasa.

Liga Metropolitan top team - Halcones (13-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat eighth ranked Monjitas BTC (1-11) 132-114. They outrebounded Monjitas BTC 49-34 including a 23-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Halcones players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a quality performance for Hector Chur (-1999) who led the winners and scored 75 points (!!!). Forward Juan Rosales (195-1996) accounted for 35 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds for the winning side. Enzo Castro came up with 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists and Carlos Enriquez (-1978) added 23 points and 18 rebounds respectively for Monjitas BTC in the defeat. Rather expected game when 7th ranked Circulo (3-11) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Villa Nueva Jrs (6-7) 63-58. Villa Nueva Jrs dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Circulo's 20. They outrebounded Circulo 53-41 including 19 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Henry Alay who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Gary Alvarez (194-1983) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Jose Maltez (-2001) came up with 15 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and Cristian Diaz (-2000) added 18 points and 5 steals respectively for Circulo in the defeat. Circulo's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Villa Nueva Jrs moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Amatitlan. Circulo lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 11 games lost.

It was an exceptional evening for Enrique Samayoa (193-1982) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Ruben Rodriguez accounted for 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Yordic Velazquez (-1994) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Angel Estrada (-1989) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Coeindeguasa in the defeat. Four Coeindeguasa players scored in double figures. Villa Nueva maintains second place with 10-2 record having just three point less than leader Halcones. Coeindeguasa lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost.
