Forward Juan Rosales (195-F-1996) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Halcones, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga Metropolitana Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed Monjitas BTC (#8, 1-12) with 18-point margin 132-114. Halcones was forced-out from the top positions in Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Halcones keeps a perfect 14-0 record. In the team's last game Rosales had a remarkable 77.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Halcones' top player in his first season with the team. Juan Rosales averages just after three games 24.3ppg and 9.3rpg.
The second best player in last round's games was another Halcones' star - young Hector Chur (1999). Chur had a very good evening with 75 points and 3 rebounds. Of course together with Rosales he helped Halcones with another comfortable win 132-114 over the lower-ranked Monjitas BTC (#8, 1-12) being unquestionably team leader. Despite this victory Halcones slide down in the standings to 2nd position. He plays for the best team in the league and Halcones managed to win all 14 games keeping a perfect record. Chur is one of the most experienced players at Halcones and similarly like Juan Rosales has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.8ppg (#2).
Third on the list of top players last round was Enzo Castro of Monjitas BTC (#8). Castro got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for five assists. Despite Castro's great performance Monjitas BTC lost 114-132 to the league's current leader Halcones (#2, 14-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Monjitas BTC can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-12 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Castro has individually a great season in Guatemala. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.8ppg (7th best) and assists with 2.6apg (8th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
