Grisell Gullen paced Nicaragua past Guatemala at the U17 Centrobasket Qualifiers. She nailed 18 points as her team won 61-42.
It was Guatemala to get a 21-16 lead at the end of the first period, but Nicaragua took control in the rest of the game. They replied with a 17-13 run in the second period and added massive 17-5 surge in the third quarter.
Christa Ramos (170-PG-2006) and Leisha Romero (177-SF-2006) delivered 10 points each in a win. Valeria Oliva (169-F-2006) replied with 17 points in the losing effort, whilst Maria Enriquez (172-PF-2006) produced 8.
