2022 COCABA: Mexico stay undefeated with win over Guatemala

Mexico claimed the third straight win at the COCABA Championship. They overcame Guatemala to stay perfect. Claudia Ramos (183-G-1997, college: CSUN) scored 23 points to pace the hosts.
Mexico recorded a 21-18 lead after ten minutes. They extended the lead to as many as 6 points at the big break 42-36. The home side went on a 21-14 run in the third period to secure a 13-point advantage at the final break. Mexico held Guatemala to just 13 points in the fourth period and raced to the victory. Myriam Lara (186-F/C-1994) delivered 16 points for Mexico. Sonia Vasquez (182-F-1983) answered with 17 points for Guatemala.
