Liga Metropolitana Round 3: Azucareros defeat Coeindeguasa in the game between Top 4 teams

An interesting game for Azucareros (3-0) which played road game in against Coeindeguasa (1-3). Azucareros had an easy win 62-38. Azucareros forced 20 Coeindeguasa turnovers. It was a good game for forward Victor Sosa (190-1988) who led his team to a victory with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Argentinian forward Diego Lopez (198-1980) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Carlos Sanchez answered with 9 points and 6 rebounds for Coeindeguasa. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Azucareros are looking forward to face Dark Knights (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Coeindeguasa will play against Amatitlan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was a great evening for Juan Aguilar05 (-2005) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. Irving Calderon helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was Juan Martinez (-2001) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Forza will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dark Knights will play against Azucareros (#1) to get more than just one victory in their record.

In the last game of round 3 bottom-ranked Amatitlan was beaten by Villa Nueva on the road 58-44.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 17 points and 9 rebounds by Enrique Samayoa of Villa Nueva.

Dark Knights - Forza 38-70

The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Forza (2-0) played at the court of Dark Knights (1-3). Forza smashed Dark Knights 70-38. They outrebounded Dark Knights 45-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Juan Aguilar05 (-2005) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. Irving Calderon (-1993) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was Juan Martinez (-2001) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Cristian Diaz (-2000) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds.
