Luke Garrison claims Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana Hoops Agents weekly honour

Luke Garrison had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Jaguares and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga Metropolitana Player of the Week award for round 1.
The had a double-double of 22 points and twelve rebounds, while his team beat Dark Knights (#1, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 73-66. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Thanks to this victory Jaguares moved-up to the 2nd position in Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Jaguares won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Garrison just recently signed at Jaguares and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Garrison has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.0ppg) and rebounds (2nd best: 12.0rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Cristian Diaz (2000) of league's best team Dark Knights. Diaz impressed basketball fans with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Dark Knights lost that game 66-73 to Jaguares (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Diaz is a newcomer at Dark Knights and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.0ppg (#1). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was international Ronal Campos (1987) of Villa Nueva (#3). Campos scored 13 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Villa Nueva, leading his team to a 68-22 easy win against #4 ranked Delfines in a game of the week. Villa Nueva has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Campos also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Campos as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
