David Monterroso
43-year old point guard David Monterroso (180-PG-1979) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Halcones and receives a Hoops Agents Liga Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 67 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed Dark Knights (#6, 1-4) with 67-point margin 122-55. Halcones maintains the 2nd position in Guatemalan Liga Metropolitan. They are still close to the very top. Halcones would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. It's Monterroso's second year at Halcones and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Monterroso has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 35.5ppg. Monterroso is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 8.0rpg) and averages solid 3.5spg and 68.8% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Victor Sosa (190-F-1988). He is a forward in his first season at Halcones. In the last game Sosa recorded impressive double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds. Of course together with Monterroso he helped Halcones with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Dark Knights (#6, 1-4) 122-55. Halcones' second position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Sosa is one of the most experienced players at Halcones and similarly like David Monterroso has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to another Halcones' star - swingman Billy Saavedra (190-G/F-1990). Saavedra showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, six rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of Halcones, helping his team with a 122-55 easy win against the lower-ranked Dark Knights (#6, 1-4). Halcones is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 4-1 record is not that bad... Saavedra has a great season in Guatemala. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 2.3apg (5th best).
Other top performing players last week:
4. Miguel Gonzalez (187-G/F-1990) of Halcones - 16 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
