The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Guatemala: Halcones (#1) and USAC (#3). Halcones (7-0) smashed visiting USAC (3-4) by 17 points 76-59. Halcones shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. It was a good game for the former international swingman Miguel Gonzalez (187-1990) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds. point guard David Monterroso (180-1979) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Mynor Aquino (175-1989) replied with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for USAC. Undefeated Halcones have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. USAC at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. Halcones' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Guatemala Forza.

Rodrigo Oliva (185-2003) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Pedro Reyes chipped in 12 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Luis del Cid (183-1986) with 19 points. Leones maintains fourth position with 2-5 record, which they share with Litegua and Forza. Leones' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Guatemala Litegua.

Litegua was smashed at home by 38 points 37-75 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Cesar Catalan notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) to lead the effort. PSN's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 12 points and 7 rebounds by Juan Pablo Aguilar JP did not help to save the game for Litegua. PSN maintains second position with 5-2 record having just two points less than leader Halcones. Litegua lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with five games lost. They share the position with Leones and Forza. PSN's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Guatemala to the arena USAC.
