Point guard David Monterroso (180-PG-1979) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Halcones, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga Metropolitana Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 44-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, four rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Forza (#4, 2-5) 69-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Halcones to consolidate first place in the Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Halcones keeps a perfect 7-0 record. Monterroso just recently signed at Halcones, being already a very valuable addition to the team. David Monterroso has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.0ppg. Monterroso is in league's top in and averages impressive 66.2% FGP.
