Tabata's double-double lands him Liga Metropolitana Player of the Week award

Sebastian Tabata had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Forza and receives a Hoops Agents Liga Metropolitana Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had a double-double of 18 points and 18 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team PSN (#7, 0-1) with 26-point margin 81-55. It allowed Forza to take over top position in the Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Forza won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Tabata just recently signed at Forza and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Tabata has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.0ppg) and averages solid 5.0spg.

Second best performed player last round was Renato Juarez (SG-1993) of league's second-best Solola AsoBasket. He is a guard in his 3rd season at Solola. In the last game Juarez recorded an impressive 25 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Solola to another comfortable win 76-57 over Leones (0-1) being unquestionably team leader. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Juarez is one of the most experienced players at Solola and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#1). He also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Luke Garrison (C-1997) of Leones (#5). Garrison scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Garrison's great performance the Leones lost 57-76 to Solola (#2, 1-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Leones can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. The season just started for Garrison as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
