Liga Metropolitana Round 2 (Regular Season): Forza lose to Leones

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Liga Metropolitana. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Round 2 most important game was a defeat of Forza. They were defeated by Leones 83-69 on Monday night. Leones dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Forza's 36. Center Luke Garrison (-1997) scored 27 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American guard David Goddard (185-1989) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Rodrigo Oliva (185-2003) responded with 36 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Forza will play next round against strong Solola trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Leones will try to continue on its current victory against Pat City. It will be extra interesting game as Pat City is their local rival from Guatemala.
USAC edged Solola in Guatemala 60-59. Forward Victor Sosa (190-1988) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Mynor Aquino supported him with 4 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds by Marcos Cambino did not help to save the game for Solola. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Solola will play next round against strong Forza trying to get back on the winning streak. USAC will try to continue on its current victory against PSN. It will be extra interesting game as PSN is their local rival from Guatemala.




Leones - Forza 83-69
