Catalan's double-double lands him Liga Metropolitana Player of the Week award

17-year old shooting guard Cesar Catalan (190-SG-2007) put on an amazing game in the last round for PSN and receives a Hoops Agents Liga Metropolitana Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Pat City (#6, 0-6) with 23-point margin 104-81. PSN is placed at 3rd position in Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. PSN will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. In the team's last game Catalan had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be PSN's top player in his first season with the team. Catalan has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.6ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.8rpg), assists (2nd best: 3.4apg) and averages solid 56.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Myson Lowe (178-PG-2001) of Pat City. He is American guard in his first season at Pat City. In the last game Lowe recorded an impressive 42 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Pat City lost that game 81-104 to the higher-ranked PSN (#3, 4-3). Despite lost game Pat City moved up to 6th position in the standings. 6 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Lowe is one of the most experienced players at Pat City and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Marcus Faison (196-SG-1994) of league's second-best Solola AsoBasket. Faison scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Solola, leading his team to a 97-60 easy win against #1 ranked USAC in a game of the week. Solola needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Faison has a great season in Guatemala. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.8ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 10.0rpg (6th best) and assists with 2.5apg (9th best).
