Kiyjohnte Houston claims Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Kiyjohnte Houston (203-C/F-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for Forza and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga Metropolitana Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 27-year old had the game-high 32 points adding six rebounds and two assists for Forza in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Pat City (#5, 1-3) 81-78. Forza maintains the 3rd position in Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Forza will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Houston had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Forza's top player in his first season with the team. Patrick Henry Community College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Houston is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.5ppg) and averages solid 66.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was American guard Jacksen Greco (190-G) of league's best team Solola AsoBasket. Greco impressed basketball fans with 30 points and 3 rebounds. Of course he led Solola to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked El Progreso (#2, 4-1) 91-71. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Solola consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 6 games without any defeat. Greco is a newcomer at Solola and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#3).

The third best performed player last round was another Solola's star - American Donaval Avila Jr. (190-G). Avila Jr. scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was another key player of Solola AsoBasket, helping his team with a 91-71 easy win against #2 ranked El Progreso. Solola started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Avila Jr. turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Avila Jr. has a great season in Guatemala. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.4ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 7.6rpg (8th best).
