The most exciting game of round 6 in the Liga Metropolitana took place in Guatemala. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Forza (4-2) to sixth ranked Pat City (3-2) 83-82 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Forza. Strangely Forza outrebounded Pat City 67-46 including a 27-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Anfernee Munnings who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Edwin Ruiz contributed with 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Sebastian Tabata replied with 32 points and 25 rebounds for Forza. Pat City have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Forza at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Pat City are looking forward to face league's second-placed Coyotes in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Forza's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Guatemala Halcones.
Yolo's' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat PIBA (0-6) 90-79. Guard Luis Menendez (179-1995) scored 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Irving Calderon chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Yolo's' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American Theo Braddy (198, college: A&M Texarkana) with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Yolo's (1-5) left bottom position moving up to ninth place. It was PIBA's sixth loss in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Yolo's will play against higher ranked New Legends (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. PIBA will play against Crossover (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Liga Metropolitana top team - USAC (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed fifth ranked New Legends (3-3) 113-83. Justin Bradley notched 51 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort. Even 26 points and 6 rebounds by Kedrick Frink did not help to save the game for New Legends. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated USAC have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Loser New Legends dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. USAC's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Guatemala to the arena PSN.

In the last game of round 6 Coyotes beat Crossover on the road 92-77.

Crossover - Coyotes 77-92

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Coyotes (5-1) beat on the road 7th ranked Crossover (1-4) 92-77 on Monday. American guard Cory Kaplan (198, college: Ks Wesleyan, agency: Fully Feared Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import guard Malik Lacewell (190-2001, college: Allen, agency: Highlight Athletes) supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Lacewell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Coyotes players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds by Luke Dove did not help to save the game for Crossover. American swingman Eddie Jr Weems (196-1997, college: Carroll, WI) added 28 points and 6 rebounds. Crossover's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Coyotes maintains second position with 5-1 record behind leader USAC. Crossover lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with PSN. Coyotes will meet Pat City (#5) in the next round. Crossover will play against PIBA and hope to win that game.

USAC dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to New Legends' 48. They outrebounded New Legends 47-34 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American-Japanese forward Justin Bradley (198, college: William Penn, agency: Fully Feared Sports) notched 51 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Hesed Ovalle supported him with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Even 26 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Kedrick Frink (190, college: Salisbury, agency: Fully Feared Sports) did not help to save the game for New Legends.
