Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana round 7 best performance: Malik Lacewell (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Malik Lacewell (190-G-2001, agency: Highlight Athletes) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Coyotes, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga Metropolitana Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (47 points, eight rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Pat City (#6, 3-3) with 46-point margin 132-86. Coyotes maintains the 2nd position in Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. They are still close to the very top. Coyotes would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Lacewell had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got ten three-pointers out of 14 attempts. He just recently signed at Coyotes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Allen University star has very solid stats this year. Lacewell is in league's top in points (4th best: 31.7ppg), assists (8th best: 2.2apg) and averages impressive 59.3% FGP and 44.6% from behind 3-point line. Worth to mention Lacewell played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was another Coyotes' star - D'Jon Dunnally. Dunnally had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 20 rebounds. Of course together with Lacewell he helped Coyotes with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Pat City (#6, 3-3) 132-86. Coyotes' second position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 6 matches. Dunnally is one of the most experienced players at Coyotes and similarly like Malik Lacewell has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.8ppg (#9). He also registered 15.2 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Anfernee Munnings (187-G-1997) of Pat City (#6). Munnings got into 30-points club by scoring 40 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . Despite Munnings' great performance the Pat City lost 86-132 to the higher-ranked Coyotes (#2, 6-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Pat City needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Munnings has a great season in Guatemala. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 43.6ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 11.2rpg (5th best) and assists with 2.4apg (7th best).
