Estudiantes C. - Guaros 79-82

Guaros de Lara claimed the Liga Sudamericana title. They beat Estudiantes Concordia in the fourth game of the championship series to capture the crown. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Estudiantes C. won fourth quarter 22-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 25 personal fouls committed by Estudiantes C. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Jose Vargas (195-82, agency: Pro Sports) fired 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Point guard Heissler Guillent (186-86) chipped in 18 points. He was named the MVP. Guaros' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Spanish center David Doblas (206-81) produced 22 points and Mateo Bolivar (187-92) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side.
