    Franca claimed Liga Sudamericana title. They upset Instituto on the road to complete the sweep of the championship series. Instituto was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Vivo/Franca made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American David Jackson (195-82, college: Penn St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Alexey Borges (188-95) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Swingman Luciano Gonzalez (190-90) replied with 27 points and Italian-Uruguayan Leandro Garcia-Morales (186-80, college: Texas A&M, agency: Pro Sports) added 17 points and 5 assists in the effort for Instituto. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
