Regatas - Bauru 52-88 The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Argentinian Regatas (0-1) in Corrientes on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by Brazilian Paschoalotto/Bauru (1-0) 88-52. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Four Obera players scored in double figures. Obera's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American-Puerto Rican forward Angel Matias (194-1992, college: Georgia South) responded with 24 points and American-Puerto Rican Christopher Gaston (201-1989, college: Fordham) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Despite that victory Obera went down to first position due to points difference, which they share with Bauru. Defending Bolivian champion Pichincha still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Regatas. Obera will play against league's leader Paschoalotto/Bauru at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
