Garcia's 22 points and 9 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award- October 9, 2022
He had the game-high 22 points adding nine rebounds and five assists for Bauru in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Regatas (1-1) with 36-point margin 88-52. In the team's last game Garcia had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Bauru, through which he has constantly improved. Garcia has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 9.0rpg), assists (2nd best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 57.1% FGP. Second best performed player last round was Gaston Cordoba (200-F-1994) of top-ranked Obera. He is a forward in his first season at Obera. In the last game Cordoba recorded impressive 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Obera to another comfortable win outscoring Pichincha (0-2) 105-65. Cordoba is a newcomer at Obera and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. Third place about best performers goes to forward Christopher Gaston (201-PF-1989) of Pichincha (#4). Gaston scored 14 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Gaston's great performance Pichincha lost 65-105 to Obera. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The season just started for Gaston as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader. Other top performing players last week: 4. Emmitt Holt (201-F-1996) of Bauru - 14 points and 6 rebounds 5.
