Second ranked Uruguayan host Aguada (2-1) defeated 4th placed Chilean Los Leones (0-3) 87-70. The game was mostly controlled by Aguada. Los Leones managed to win third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aguada had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Los Leones' players. Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and center Theo Metzger (200-1999) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds. Aguada's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
