Liga SudAmericana round 9 best performance: Eloy Vargas- October 17, 2022
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Los Leones (0-3) with 17-point margin 87-70. Former University of Kentucky star has very solid stats this year. Vargas is in league's top in points (9th best: 15.7ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.7rpg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 56.3% FGP. The second best player in last round's games was another Aguada's star - young Theo Metzger (200-C-1999). Metzger had a very good evening with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Of course together with Vargas he helped Aguada with another comfortable win 87-70 over Los Leones (0-3) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in group C. Aguada consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 2-1 record is not bad at all. Metzger is a newcomer at Aguada, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Cameron Naylor (202-F-1994) of Los Leones. Naylor scored 24 points. Despite Naylor's great performance Los Leones lost 70-87 to Aguada. Naylor has a very solid season. In 3 games in Liga SudAmericana he scored 15.7ppg.
