Round 3 of Quarter-Finals. San Martin and Bauru complete semifinal picture

San Martin - UniFacisa 88-84

UNIFACISA trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 12 after three quarters before a 27-19 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 84-88 at the end of the game. San Martin made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Matias Solanas (192-1998) who scored 23 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Javier Saiz (206-1994) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was Andre Bresolin (195-1987) who recorded 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Panamanian-American point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-1989, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) added 22 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Bauru - Boca 65-61

The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Boca won third quarter 22-6. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Paschoalotto/Bauru won last quarter 19-16. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Boca to just 7 points in first quarter. It was a good game for guard Danilo Fuzaro (193-1994) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Germerson Barbosa (205-1993) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Marcos Mata (202-1986) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Italian-Argentinian Leonardo Mainoldi (205-1985) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Boca. Boca's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
