Best players of Liga SudAmericana round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Dominican Rep. Nehemias Morillo (197-PF-1992) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader San Jose and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 31-year old power forward had the game-high 14 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for San Jose in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Malvin (#4, 0-3) 66-65. It was one of impressive evenings for Morillo as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Nehemias Morillo averages just after three games 10.0ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another San Jose's star - young American Jeremiah Wood (200-C/F-1985). Wood impressed basketball fans with 10 points and 9 rebounds. It was enough for San Jose to edge Malvin (0-3) by 1 point 66-65. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. The third best performed player last round was Uruguayan Nicola Pomoli (195-G/F-1999) of second-ranked Instituto. Pomoli scored 9 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Instituto, leading his team to a 68-63 win against #3 ranked Obera in a game of the week. Instituto needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Pomoli has a great season in Liga SudAmericana. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 5.3rpg (5th best) and assists with 4.0apg (2nd best).
