Titanes and Bigua record opening wins in Barranquilla

Titanes - Carrib.Storm 72-61
Titanes victoriously opened their Liga Sudamericana campaign. They outgunned Caribbean Storm in Barranquilla. Caribbean Storm led by one point at the first break. But Titanes took over in the next quarters. They went on a 35-30 second half rally to snatch the win. Jonathan Rodriguez (196-G/F-1987, college: Campbell) provided 28 points, while Eloy Vargas (211-C-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) added 15 points and 18 rebounds for Titanes. Rodrigo Sanchez (200-F-1989) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds for Caribbean Storm.

Caballeros - Bigua 61-86
Bigua stormed past Caballeros in Group C opener. Bigua recorded a 37-32 halftime lead. Bigua went on a 49-29 second half rally to ice the victory. Martin Rojas (195-F-1998) provided 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Ivan Loriente (190-SG-1992, agency: Pro Sports) added 15 points for the Uruguayan team. Emilio Cappare (199-F/G-1990) and Luis Riascos (194-F/G-2000) netted 12 points each for Caballeros.
