Best players of Liga SudAmericana round 2 (Second Stage) - by Hoops Agents

Experienced Spanish-Colombian Juan Tello-Palacios (206-F/C-1985) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Titanes de Barranquilla and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 38-year old power forward had a double-double of 25 points and eleven rebounds, while his team beat Instituto (#1, 4-2) 87-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Titanes to consolidate first place in the Liga SudAmericana. The season is still on an early stage, but Titanes already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Tello-Palacios turned to be Titanes' top player in his first season with the team.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Michael Jackson (192-F-1987) of second-ranked Caribbean Storm Islands. Jackson impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Storm cruised to a 82-72 relatively comfortable win over San Jose (3-2). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Jackson is a newcomer at Carrib.Storm and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.0ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 6.4rpg and 3.6apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Titanes' star - Dominican Rep. Eloy Vargas (211-C-1988, agency: BIG). Vargas scored 17 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was another key player of Titanes de Barranquilla, helping his team with a 87-82 win against #1 ranked Instituto in a game of the week. Titanes started extremely well this Second Stage. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Vargas turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Vargas has a great season in Liga SudAmericana. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.0rpg (3rd best).
