Best players of Liga SudAmericana round 5 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Earl Watson (201-C-1990) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Nacional De Futbol Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 34-year old center had the game-high 16 points adding two rebounds for Nacional in his team's victory, helping them to crush Espanol O. (#4, 1-3) with 20-point margin 79-59. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Nacional to consolidate first place in the Liga SudAmericana. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Nacional already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. It was one of impressive evenings for Watson as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Earl Watson averages this season 9.5ppg and 5.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Mike Fofana (206-F-1997) of CD Espanol Osorno. Fofana impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Espanol lost that game 59-79 to league's leader Nacional (#1, 4-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Espanol still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Espanol managed to get this year. Fofana is a newcomer at Espanol and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.8ppg (#6). He also registered 6.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Sebastian Lugo (195-SG-1998) of second-ranked San Lorenzo de Almagro. Lugo scored 21 points. He was a key player of San Lorenzo, leading his team to a 97-88 win against Santa Maria (#5, 0-4). San Lorenzo needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost games. Lugo has a great season in Liga SudAmericana. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.8ppg (4th best).
