Round 6 (Regular Season): Defensor and Olimpico register victories

Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

First defeat of league's leader Bolivian CAN Potosi (0-1) against top-ranked Argentinian Olimpico (1-0) 92-85 was the most important game of the last round. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a good game for swingman Julian Morales (195-1995) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Agustin Facello (183-1999) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Cadarian Raines (205-1990, college: Virginia Tech, agency: BIG) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for CAN Potosi. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olimpico keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Defensor. Defending Bolivian champion CAN Potosi still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Obras. They were replaced at the leadership position by Defensor. CAN Potosi will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Olimpico will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Obras in Buenos Aires.

Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Olimpico. Obras at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with CAN Potosi. Obras will play next round against strong Olimpico trying to get back on the winning streak. Defensor will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked San Jose at Asuncion.
