The standout Chilean center Manny Suarez was named the Final Four MVP of the championship-winning Nacional De Futbol Montevideo from Uruguay. He graduated from the Creighton six years ago. Suarez was also selected to the First Team. Facundo Terra, guard Defensor Sporting Club Montevideo from Uruguay, earned a spot in the First Team of Liga Sudamericana. He averaged over 12 points per game in the league. Terra's 31 points against the Olimpico were the most he scored in the 2024 season. Among many awards he was selected to the Latinbasket All-Uruguay Metropolitan First Team in 2023. He was also selected as the Latinbasket All-Uruguay Metropolitan League Honorable Mention between 2018 and 2019.
Joao Franca, 25-year old Brazilian center Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda from Argentina, was voted to the First Team at the La Liga. He helped Franca's team have an undefeated season as Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda was not challenged in the league with a perfect 4 to 0 in the regular season. Franca's court vision propelled him to the third spot in points per game an outstanding average of almost 20. He also logged 8 rebounds per game that season in the league. Franca has totalled 7 games of 20 or more points on the year and registered 30 or more points in 2 games. He notched double-doubles in 6 games at the event. Franca's 32 points against the Boca were the most he scored in the 2024 season. 6 out of the top 10 highest scorers in the league are alumni of US colleges. Among many awards he played in the final of the Argentinian Liga Argentina in 2023. He was selected to the Latinbasket Liga Ouro All-Domestic Players Team as well as the All-Liga Ouro Second Team back in 2019. Franca was selected as the Latinbasket All-Brazilian League Honorable Mention back in 2020.
