Best players of Liga SudAmericana round 4 (by Hoops Agents)

Emiliano Lezcano (187-PG-2001) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Ferrocarril Oeste Buenos Aires and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 24-year old playmaker had the game-high 19 points adding five rebounds and two assists for Ferro in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Vasco da Gama (#4, 0-1) with 33-point margin 73-40. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Ferro to consolidate first place in the Liga SudAmericana. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Ferro won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Lezcano had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Ferro and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Lezcano has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 19.0ppg. Lezcano is in league's top in and averages solid 3.0spg and 75.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Colombian shooting guard Alvaro Pena (197-SG-1995, agency: Starting 5) of second-ranked Club Universitario de Sucre. Pena impressed basketball fans with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Univ.Sucre to another comfortable win outscoring Motilones (#3, 0-1) 70-38. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Univ.Sucre consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Pena is a newcomer at Univ.Sucre and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Univ.Sucre's star - American DaQuan Brooks (177-PG-1990). Brooks showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Club Universitario de Sucre, helping his team with a 70-38 easy win against #3 ranked Motilones. Univ.Sucre has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Brooks also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Brooks as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader.
