There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in Liga Sudamericana. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Chilean Los Leones (1-1) in Quilpue on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Argentinian Regatas (2-0) 67-55. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 25-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Regatas made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Strangely Los Leones outrebounded Regatas 40-26 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was point guard Juan Corbalan (185-1998) who scored 18 points. Dominican center Luis Santos (203-1994, college: St.Louis) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Kiandre Gaddy (198-2001, college: Tarleton St., agency: BIG) produced 18 points for the hosts. Los Leones' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Regatas keep a position of league leader. Los Leones at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with San Jose. Regatas are looking forward to face San Jose (#3) in Asuncion in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Los Leones will play on the road against Pinheiros in Sao Paulo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Brazilian Pinheiros (0-2) against fourth ranked Paraguayan San Jose (1-1) on Tuesday night. Visiting Pinheiros were defeated by San Jose in a tough game in Asuncion 82-87. It was a key game for the second position in the league. American swingman Austin Wrighten (192-1996, college: Lynchburg) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Guillermo Aliende contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. point guard Juan Corbalan (185-1998) answered with 22 points and 4 assists for Pinheiros. Pinheiros' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. San Jose left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with Los Leones. Pinheiros at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. San Jose will play against league's leader Regatas in Corrientes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pinheiros will play at home against the league's second-placed Los Leones and hope to get finally their first victory.
