Defelippo's 27 points and 6 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old shooting guard Jose Defelippo (186-SG-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Ferrocarril Oeste Buenos Aires and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
He had the game-high 27 points adding six rebounds and two assists for Ferro in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Univ.Sucre (#4, 2-3) with 43-point margin 102-59. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Ferro to consolidate first place in the Liga SudAmericana. The season is still on an early stage, but Ferro already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Defelippo had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats.

Second best performed player last round was Edgar Riveros (184-PG-1991) of league's second-best Olimpia Kings. He is a guard in his first season at Olimpia K.. In the last game Riveros recorded an impressive 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. It was enough for Olimpia K. to edge J.Guzman (3-2) by 1 point 93-92. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Riveros is a newcomer at Olimpia K. and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Dennis McKinney (194-G/F-1998) of Jorge Guzman CD (#3). McKinney showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite McKinney's great performance the J.Guzman lost 92-93 to #2 ranked Olimpia K.. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing J.Guzman needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 2 lost games. The season just started for McKinney as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
